This species is found along the east coast of Madagascar, and on the islands of Mauritius, Reunion, and the Comoros. It also inhabits the coastal areas of Kenya and Tanzania on the mainland of Africa. The long inflorescences bear many flowers with apple green sepals and petals, with a white lip which is held upright.
