Bulbophyllum tricornoides Seidenfaden 1979 is one of the "pinecone" Bulbos, so called because its inflorescence appears like a small pine tree seed cone. This bulbo is endemic to Thailand, however, the species bears a close resemblance to B. tricornes/B. careyanum, other "pinecone", Bulbos inhabiting parts of India into Cambodia and possibly Thailand.
