Dendrobium farmeri is found throughout the Indo-Asian area. The psuedobulbs are slightly squarish in cross section. First discovered in Moulmein, Burma, in 1847. The species name honors W.G. Farmer, who first flowered it.
The petals are lite mauve as they first open, but later fade to nearly white.
