One of the parents of this grex, Encyclia cordigera ranges from Florida through the West Indies and Mexico, into Colombia and Venezuela. Often seen as Epidendrum atropurpureum. It is a medium size plant with numerous flowers. The flowers open successively to produce a wonderful show throughout the year. Easy in either a warm or intermediate temperature range (45F to 95F). Very fragrant parents, very fragrant offspring.
