Epi. ciliare ranges from northern South America, through Central America, into southern Mexico and the islands of the West Indies.. Enjoys bright shade to direct morning sun. Flowering is usually late fall into spring. Often seen as Encyclia ciliare. A plant of easy cultivation, with a pleasant fragrance. A rapid grower, under normal cattleya culture, it quickly becomes a specimen size plant.
